Agreement to Terms

Welcome to addcn ("we," "our," or "us"). By accessing or using our component registry platform at addcn.dev (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement.

2. Account Registration

To access the Service, you must create an account via GitHub or Google OAuth. You are responsible for all activities under your account and must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access.

3. Username Policy

When you register, you select a unique username that serves as your registry namespace.

Username Rules:

• 3-39 characters, lowercase letters, numbers, and hyphens only
• Cannot start or end with a hyphen
• Cannot contain consecutive hyphens
• Must be unique across all users and organizations

Username Reclamation: We reserve the right to reclaim, reassign, or change usernames at our sole discretion, including but not limited to:

• Usernames that infringe trademarks or intellectual property
• Usernames impersonating public figures, brands, or organizations
• Usernames that are misleading, offensive, or violate these Terms
• Inactive accounts holding desirable usernames

If your username is reclaimed, we will attempt to notify you via email and may offer assistance in selecting a new username. We are not liable for any damages resulting from username changes.

4. Description of Service

addcn is a component registry platform that enables users to:

• Create and manage personal component registries
• Publish shadcn/ui compatible components
• Share components via the shadcn CLI
• Create and manage organizations

5. User Content

"Your Content" means any code, components, or materials you upload or publish through the Service.

You represent that:

• You own or have rights to Your Content
• Your Content does not infringe third-party rights
• Your Content complies with applicable laws

License Grant: By publishing components, you grant us a license to host, store, and distribute Your Content to enable the Service functionality.

6. Acceptable Use

You may not:

• Upload malicious code, malware, or security exploits
• Infringe intellectual property rights
• Impersonate others or misrepresent affiliation
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service
• Use automated tools to abuse the Service
• Violate any applicable laws

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, and branding, is owned by addcn and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or create derivative works of the Service.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ADDCN SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms or any other reason at our discretion. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

11. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
